DashCam Software Download
In this video, we're detailing the steps needed to retrieve video from a Rostra DashCam - a fully-featured digital video capture system that use a standard SD card for storage and records on-road video while you drive.
In order to view or save the video recorded by your Rostra DashCam, you must first download the CarBox DashCam Software Suite available on the “DashCam” page of our website to a Windows PC.
Open your browser, navigate to www.rostra.com, hover your mouse over the “Accessories” tab in the navigation menu, and then click “DashCam."

Once the DashCam page has loaded, scroll down until you see the "Software Downloads" section.
Select one of the two download options available based on the model of DashCam that you purchased.
Note: The 250-8918 Software Download will only allow you to view video recorded by DashCam part number 250-8918, and the 250-8919 Software Download will only allow you to view video recorded by DashCam part number 250-8919.
Once the download of the CarBox DashCam Software Suite is complete, close your web browser and double-click the .zip file to open it.
Once the .zip file is open, click and drag the folder inside to your Desktop.
Note: For this video, the folder is being saved to the Desktop of the Windows PC, but it can be saved anywhere on the computer.
