GEEZER URINATES ON ROSE BUSH The Geezer wants to take cuttings from an old school rose bush. To give the plant a hit of nitrogen, he urinates at the base of the rose twice daily. The nitrogen causes new growth to shoot out.. The new growth cones in red. He will take about a dozen cuttings of this new growth material. New growth has a much higher survival rate than if he took a cutting from a part that was many years old.
