In this second of three talks, I discuss more challenging double, triple, and complex acid-base disorders with an emphasis on understanding principles rather than memorization of formulas. As usual, I encourage you to work through the problems prior to hearing my explanation. Once you have mastered these concepts, feel free to continue on to Part III for a discussion of the differential diagnoses of the principle acid-base disorders and some examples of how we can use clinical information to narrow down the possible etiologies of acid-base disturbance in an individual patient. Also, feel free to watch my PFT Interpretation series I have posted as well on my channel. Thanks for watching!
