This presentation, the second of three on the fundamentals of mechanical ventilation, reviews ventilator modes and strategies. If you missed part 1, which covered background information on mechanical ventilation and lung mechanics, consider watching this first. This second installment does cover a fair amount of material so if at any point you sustain “information overload” it may be best to stop the video and come back another day - especially if you have a chance to apply what you have learned at the bedside.
