You all know that we've been keeping laying hens for many years, and during this time, we've established a process for selling chicken eggs—meaning we have a ready-made business: breeding laying hens and selling chicken eggs.
Today I'll show you our farm—our various laying hens. Of course, the most interesting part is collecting chicken eggs, a daily activity that brings pleasure. We also prepare eggs for sale.
Just recently, I showed you a video about how green fodder positively impacts egg production in laying hens and what free laying feed I use to ensure high egg production on our farm.
Many people ask me about feeding our hens, what feed to feed them for optimal laying performance, and ask me to show them how we sell our hens' eggs.
Currently, we have 170 different laying hens on our farm. We collect approximately 130-150 eggs daily and sell them directly from the farm.
Today is my day off, so I'll show you how the eggs are collected, then how I prepare the hens' eggs for sale. I'll also show you what our egg sales stand looks like.

The fact is that keeping laying hens at home and ensuring their high egg production is far from a given.
It's clear that chicken feed must be balanced, portioned, and never overfed. And most importantly, proper run-in facilities are essential, or more precisely, the proper use of the run-in facilities for your hens.
We keep various breeds and hybrids of chickens on our farm. These include primarily Leghorn, Maran, and Sussex chickens, as well as Highsex hybrids and the commercial hybrid Loman Brown.
If you plan to breed or keep hens specifically for eggs, one of the most important conditions for your hens is the availability of a green run.
Green feed stimulates egg production in laying hens during the summer. It's the movement of the hens on a sunny pasture that provides them with the vitamins they simply can't absorb from dry feed alone.
Therefore, the best chicken feed, also known as free chicken feed, is succulent mixed grass.
Thanks to our outdoor pasture, we significantly increase the egg production of our hens during the summer.
