Does chemotherapy help with stage 4 cancer? Update on my spouse

You all know that this summer, my husband was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer with liver metastases. He soon underwent surgery to remove the tumor, and after a short recovery, chemotherapy was started.
My husband is currently undergoing chemotherapy; he's starting his 10th cycle soon. As for whether chemotherapy helps with stage 4 cancer, I can tell you from my test results that the metastases have stopped growing. In other words, chemotherapy has slowed the proliferation of cancer cells, giving my husband time. That's the news I have about my husband today.
And if anyone asks me whether chemotherapy works, or whether chemotherapy is necessary in the final stages of cancer, I'll tell you that you need to fight to the end, using all available means, including chemotherapy.
