"Chester Cheetah: Wild Wild Quest" for the Sega Genesis developed and published by Kaneko in 1993, serves as the follow-up to "Chester Cheetah: Too Cool to Fool". This game has a more traditional platformer approach compared to its predecessor. Upon breaking free from the confines of the zoo, Chester Cheetah sets off on a thrilling motorcycle journey across the country. Mean Eugene the zookeeper gives chase, snatching Chester's map, tearing it into shreds, and scattering them far and wide across the United States.

Chester must track down each piece and piece them together again to reach his ultimate destination: Hip City USA. Players navigate through levels in search of missing map pieces while encountering various challenges. Each level culminates in a boss battle. Controlling Chester is intuitive: Enemies can be defeated by stomping on them or using Chester's unique "super jump" technique. This move can also be used to break blocks overhead or smashing through obstacles upon landing.

Hazards and enemies pose threats, causing Chester to lose a life upon contact unless he's equipped with a Cheese Puffs item, which acts as a life-saving snack. However, failing to complete a level within the time limit also results in life loss. Players have a limited number of continues to progress through the game.

Overall, "Chester Cheetah: Wild Wild Quest" is an alright platformer, but lacks depth and innovation seen in other titles of its time. The game features conventional, shaded graphics, providing a departure from the style of the previous installment. The boss battles, in particular, come off as uninspired. Even the final boss, meant to be a climactic showdown, disappoints with its low difficulty.
