Wellington-based artist Bailee Lobb lives with fibromyalgia, an invisible disability that heightens fatigue and creates wild spread pain. Living with this diagnosis Bailee is able to safeguard herself from large pain flare-ups through physical exercise and supplementation. Bailee is an accomplished artist who over time has developed her work to create space for her to explore her disability through the creation of safe, stim spaces she calls bubbles. Her pieces are large in scale; Bailee, cut, dyes and sews the large art pieces and much like Bailee, her bubbles are bright and colourful.
