Building Fiber Optic Internet in South Portland
In 2014, the City of South Portland contracted GWI to build and manage a ultra-high speed, fiber optic internet network. The network is state of the art, offering speeds 100 times faster than today's broadband and is unique for the state and region. In the past four years since, the network has grown exponentially with plans to build out to the entire city.
