Skibo Castle, Sutherland in the highlands of Scotland. The richest man in the world lived here! Andrew Carnegie bought Skibo Castle in 1898 and it was still owned by his family until 1982. It is now home to The Carnegie Club a prestigious private members residential club, 8,000 acre estate and golf course. The club has hosted a number of celebrity marriages including Madonna the singer, Robert Carlyle the actor and Sam Torrance the golfer. The castle lies in spectacular scenery near the Dornoch Firth.
