The Pulwama attack was a terrorist attack that took place on February 14, 2019, in the Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir in India. A suicide bomber belonging to the Pakistan-based militant group Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) rammed an explosive-laden vehicle into a convoy of Indian security forces, killing 40 personnel. The attack led to a significant escalation of tensions between India and Pakistan, with India conducting airstrikes on a JeM training camp in Pakistan and Pakistan retaliating with airstrikes of its own.
