At the U.S. Capitol Historical Society, we believe every student deserves to learn about our nation's history in an engaging and inspiring way. Our "We the People" Constitution Tour takes eighth-grade students from D.C. public and charter schools on a journey through some of Washington, D.C.'s most historic sites to deepen their understanding of the U.S. Constitution through hands-on learning.

Each stop on the tour represents a different aspect of the U.S. Constitution and the American political system. For many students, this tour may be their first exposure to these important sites. Visiting multiple locations allows students to understand how these elements work together, showing them a broader context of our country's history and government.
