Tens of thousands of fires destroy the Amazon Rainforest each year. In the Peruvian Amazon however, indigenous people practice a way of life that sustains themselves while also avoiding slash-and-burn agriculture.
Watch to see how Rainforest Trust and local partner CEDIA help support these communities in obtaining the legal title to their land so that they can protect their homes from fires and deforestation.
Special thanks to our local partner CEDIA, Center for the Development of an Indigenous Amazon and to the Native Community of Wicungo for sharing your stories and making this video possible.
