Quiet Riot is an American heavy metal band formed in 1973 in Los Angeles by Randy Rhoads, Kelly Garni, and Kevin DuBrow. Their classic lineup, featuring DuBrow, Carlos Cavazo, Rudy Sarzo, and Frankie Banali, achieved major success with the 1983 album Metal Health, the first heavy metal album to top the Billboard charts. Known for hits like “Cum On Feel the Noize” and “Metal Health,” they ranked #100 on VH1's 100 Greatest Artists of Hard Rock.
Despite lineup changes and DuBrow's death in 2007, the band continued under Banali's leadership until his death in 2020. Since then, the band has remained active, with Johnny Kelly on drums and Rudy Sarzo returning on bass in 2021. They plan to continue recording and touring.
