Allegro
Celebrate the peasants with dances and songs
Of the pleasure of the beautiful harvest,
And of the Bacchus's liquor.
They end their revelry with sleep.
Adagio molto
Let all go out and dance and sing.
The air is tempered with pleasure,
And the season invites so many and many
Out the sweetest sleep to the finest delight.
Allegro
The hunters go hunting at the new dawn,
With horns, snares, and hounds.
The beast flees, and they follow the trail;
overwhelmed by the great sound
of snares and hounds, the beast wounded, threatened,
It flees, but it dies.
