Therapeutic accompaniment is a clinical practice conceived and developed to operate outside traditional treatment settings, utilizing the spaces frequented by the person being accompanied to teach and improve skills aimed at autonomy. It's an activity focused on the social (re)integration of people who have not developed or have lost the ability to navigate social spaces.
The professional prepared for this accompaniment is called a therapeutic companion or therapeutic attendant.
The therapeutic companion travels to different environments, such as school, home, and parks, aiming to promote encounters that allow them to be together and share conversations, experiences, and tasks.

About Fábio Coelho:
Psychologist specializing in Autism Spectrum Disorders from the University of Araraquara (2018). He holds a specialization in Neuropsychology (Unyleya, 2020), Applied Behavior Analysis for autism and intellectual disability (Centro Universitário Celso Lisboa, 2021), and is pursuing a Master's degree in Education (Unicarioca).
He has extensive experience in autism and ABA intervention, topics in which he has participated in various national and international congresses and taught in-person and distance learning courses. - He also has experience in child diagnostic assessment, social skills, and parenting styles.
He is a Managing Partner and Professor at the Autism Academy, Managing Partner and Clinical Supervisor at the Mosaico Center (Rio de Janeiro), Coordinator of the postgraduate program in Child Behavioral Analytic Therapy at CBI of Miami/Celso Lisboa, and Professor of the postgraduate program in Autism Spectrum Disorder (FOCUS).
Fábio is also an International Behavior Analyst (IBA)/International ABA Supervisor certified by the International Behavior Analysis Organization® (IBAO). The IBAO (https://www.theibao.com/) is one of the leading regulators of Behavior Analysis in the world and its mission is to ensure ethical practices, protect consumers, and maintain appropriate standards in the field of ABA.
Above all, Fábio is the father of Guilherme and Fernando, both diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, and husband of Mayara.
