Although I have my own Audio Studio, I decided to create my Home Studio but it is different than most people think and I only spent 1103€! I consider it simple but High-End. It is a Legacy Setup! I guess you don´t hear about these things anymore...
Most stuff in there is second hand or old stuff that I did not use anymore. When something really works for me, I use it a lot and keep it until the end. I still believe in the words “repair” and “recycle”, not “throw away”. Therefore I am using an old 2009 Mac Pro 4.1, Mac OS Snow Leopard (10.6.8) and Logic 9. Yes, it is a 32 bit system!!!
I am using the software that I bought 10-20 years ago and some of that software from a decade ago that is now free. No subscriptions here although to authorise some of this software was a bit of a pain (but I managed to do it).
I am using old software from Native Instruments, Spectrasonics, PSP, Audio Damage, Ohmforce, Gforce, Novation, IK Multimedia and more. I also have Ableton Live 9, Recycle 2 and DSP Quattro as an audio editor.
Later I will upgrade the computer and also add some hardware as a TC Powercore, an analogue synthesizer (Behringer Pro 800), etc.
