Steep Point Shark Bay...Wet Windy & Wild
Shark Bay Denham, Steep Point WA Western Australia, the most Western point of the Australian Mainland. Road trip ended in gale force winds and driving rain, drowning our campsite and caused us to move to high ground near the dunny. From there the only option was to retreat, as everything was wet and soaked, and drive out prior to the road being closed. A 4x4 is needed and letting your tyre preasue down to 20psi or below is recomended. A Fabulous place to visit and camp, fish, snorkel, 4wheeldrive. Unbeatable scenery, but be aware of the flies and weather. Locals and tourists alike will shy away from fly nets, but believe me, once u have eaten your fair share, you will fly net. Enjoy the fabulous Shark Bay, Denham, Steep Point region of Western Australia , the fishing, camping, beaches, swimming, overlanding is worthwhile. Enjoy.
