All Aboard the Train to Heaven: An Analysis of Night on the Galactic Railroad
Night on the Galactic Railroad is a Japanese anime movie released in 1985 by the now-defunct independent animation studio Group TAC. The movie is about two cats who go on a mystical railroad trip across the heavens and the galactic universe; based on the novel of the same name by Kenji Miyazawa and the manga adaptation by Hiroshi Masumura and Asahi Sonorama.
This movie was found on a Letterboxd list titled "Cartoons are for Children" which I have a link to further down.
