In response to industry trends, Delta has developed its AMBD drive to control magnetic bearings. The AMBD drive has been engineered so that it can be connected on the DC of the high speed frequency drive. It is located inside the compressor motor, which ensures direct control. In the firmware, functions including rotor levitation/unbalance and Five DOF decoupled control, provide a safe and smooth method for rotating the rotor. The technology is suitable for applications including high-speed chillers, compressors and blower applications.
