Blender has its own dedicated fluid simulations that can be used to create really good smoke simulations, explosions, and much more. However, it is often hard to render it out on low-end PCs and in general, takes a fairly long time to do so. I was recently in need of an explosion in a very heavy scene and my laptop could not handle it, so I used this technique and it worked out flawlessly, so I knew that I had to share it with all of you.

I hope it was informative :)
