As I pedal along, I come across an old, abandoned structure that once served various purposes—a car lot or repair shop in its more recent past, and perhaps a timber yard before that. Now, the site is cordoned off and left to the elements, with only a rusting Daihatsu remaining, hidden among the weeds. This quiet scene is a testament to the passage of time and the impermanence of human endeavors in rural Japan.
