Automated Workflows are incredibly useful when looking to get more stuff done. The DRY Principle or Don’t Repeat Yourself was popularized by Andy Hunt and Dave Thomas in The Pragmatic Programmer. The principle behind DRY is to audit areas in your workflow where you can eliminate repetitive tasks and allow for a more efficient or smarter workflow.

This is essentially the theory behind Henry Ford’s Assembly Line which allowed Ford Motor Company to have once of the more effective workflows. There’s a lot than can be learned from the DRY principle and the Henry Ford Assembly line that can help you discover how automation can create an effective productivity system.
