"I think it's the same as literature with art; a-lot of the time, you confuse their personality with their piece of work. It ultimately doesn't do anybody any favors... Ya know? In a way, it negates the work itself because what can happen, essentially, is that if you're an artist like [Mark] Rothko; and you choose to kill yourself, then that colours the work forevermore; which is totally not the point.
And not only that, but it destroys the work! There's a Rothko room in "The Tate" in London: When kids go in there, they go and say "WOW! THIS IS GREAT!~", and all they see is the joy in the colours and the paintings; and all the adults see, is this poor sod who killed himself..."
