General Explanation
================
The mixed ANOVA tests the influence of a) between-subjects effect and b) within-subjects effect, as well as c) their interaction on a test variable.
For example, I want to test the effectiveness of a new drug. I have two groups – an intervention group and a control group. This takes the between-subjects effect into account.
I also want to observe the development of the measurement results over time. For this purpose, I have one baseline measurement and four follow-up measurements for both groups. The follow-up measurements take the within-subjects effect into account.
At the same time, however, it is also possible that only the experimental group shows an effect over time; this would then be an interaction of the within-subjects and between-subjects effect.
Prerequisites for mixed ANOVA:
