// Importing STATA Files into R //
In this video, I'll show you briefly and concisely how to import CSV files into R using the `read.dta` or `read_dta` function. Creating a data frame with this function is incredibly easy. It's important to know where the file is located—either in the working directory or somewhere else entirely. You can reference this location using absolute cell references.
A final, very convenient option that avoids working with either the working directory or absolute cell references is the `file.choose()` function. This allows you to directly select the (STATA) file to be imported in a dialog box.
