I wrote these lyrics right after writing “Tomorrow” and continued the theme of investing your time wisely. It covers the topics of learning from mistakes and moving forward rather than dwelling on regrets.
I think my favorite thing about this song is the ride: it’s got crescendos, peaks and valleys, and a resolution. It’s like a full-length movie with 3 acts in which (1) the protagonist is defined, (2) they go on a journey battling themselves, then (3) they finally surrender and lay it all before God.
