NVIDIA + Wayland + openSUSE Leap 15.5 / Tumbleweed
This is guide, howto enable NVIDIA accelerated 3D rendering and Xwayland (Wayland) on openSUSE Leap 15.5 and Tumbleweed with NVIDIA 555.xx (555.58.02) / 550.xx (550.100) / 530.xx (535.183.01) / 470.xx (470.256.02) proprietary drivers on GNOME 41. Tested with latest NVIDIA drivers, I assume here that you have installed NVIDIA drivers using • openSUSE 15.5 / Tumbleweed NVIDIA Drivers ... guide. This might work normally with any other installation methods too, but it’s not tested.
Note: Do this using fully updated system and latest kernel, also NVIDIA 550.78 / 535.179 / 470.239.06 drivers installed ( • openSUSE 15.5 / Tumbleweed NVIDIA Drivers ... ). Check also NVIDIA’s own guide for this OpenGL and Vulkan on Xwayland (https://us.download.nvidia.com/XFree8....
