Course on Price Action Trading Strategies Using Python: bit.ly/3hL9Nvh
Welcome to this course on price action trading strategies using python. Confused about what price action means? Here’s a quick definition.
Price action trading is simply the process of studying the price behaviour of financial assets across time and taking relevant trading decisions based on the same.
And price action-based traders are known to spend time studying price charts by looking out for the formation of patterns and marking important levels.
But why would anyone want to study such complicated charts in the first place? And to add to it, what is the intent behind marking anything at all, in these charts?
Let us look at a scenario, to understand this better. Assume that for the stock Apple. Over the course of the past two years, you have observed, that each time the price of Apple dropped to $100, it always ended up closing positive on the very next day, by at least 10%.
This same pattern consistently repeated itself over and over, for the past 5 times. With this knowledge in mind, what would you do if the prices of Apple, were to fall to Rs 100 once again?
Wouldn’t you agree that the most logical thing to do here would be to buy Apple and then sell it off the next day in order to earn a quick profit of 10% on your capital?
This is a simple example of the approach that price action traders follow when it comes to trading.
By completing this course, you will be able to describe price action trading and also implement five of the most popularly used price action tools, namely supply and demand analysis, chart patterns, support and resistance zones, pivot points, and the Fibonacci retracements. And upon learning these concepts, you too will understand how to use this information to your benefit, by simply taking relevant trading positions, at the most probable price reversal points.
But why is this any different from the knowledge on price action concepts that you may readily find over the internet?
Well, the majority of online resources only tend to cover the basic aspects of price action trading by explaining common patterns that can be observed in price charts.
However, with this course, you will be able to dive deeper and become a skilled price action trader yourself.
For each of the price action tools covered in this course, you will be able to apply your learnings to the real price charts of your favourite assets.
Further, with the help of Python, you will be able to create simple functions that will help detect the instances of chart patterns such as the head and shoulders, and the double or triple tops and bottoms, over years and years of price data.
What's even more exciting is that by leveraging the use of Python, you can also design your own trading strategies from scratch and also assess their performance over historical data in a just matter of a few minutes.
Through this course, you'll be able to create and backtest over ten different strategies based on price action techniques.
And we will also cover a few important skills such as resampling the price data at hand, performing multi-timeframe analysis and also implementing proper risk management for all of your trading strategies.
By the end of the course, you too will be able to create, backtest and implement your own unique trading strategies based on your favourite chart patterns and price action tools.
If you want to put your new abilities to use, we offer an exciting Capstone Project for you at the end of the course.
Additionally, we will offer a live trading template to help you put the topics presented into practise. You may use this template to paper trade using current market data, and if the results satisfy you, you can also live trade.
Wondering how would you be able to live trade?
Blueshift is a trading platform where you can code your trading strategy. And the platform partners with brokers for live trading. This course contains the python code for trading on Blueshift.
Also, note that all of the strategy codes and data files are downloadable and will be provided to you in the last section of the course. We also encourage you to tweak and modify code to truly make it your own trading strategy.
It’s time to begin this journey towards becoming a skilled price-action trader.
