Currently resides in Hudson, Ohio (born in the great Pittsburgh, PA and grew up in Erie, PA) Currently teaches PLTW Biomedical Science, North High School (Akron Public Schools), OH.
U.S. Navy veteran, honorably discharged as a Lieutenant Commander (O-4) in 2006

charge nurse of the outpatient Acute Care clinic, Immunization clinic, and Pediatrics clinic at - - Naval Hospital Cherry Point (NC), 1991-1995
drilling reservist at Naval Hospital Camp Lester (Okinawa) serving in the Pediatrics and Immunization clinics, 1995-1997
drilling reservist with Naval Reserve units in Cleveland and Akron, OH, 2003-2006
Attended the US Naval Academy 1987-1989
Transferred to the Catholic University of America (Washington, DC) in 1989 and accepted the first-ever ROTC scholarship for the Nurse Corps. Commissioned in 1991

Baseball experience:
Crew Chief and Plate Umpire for the 2019 Little League World Series Championship game in Williamsport, PA
NCAA and NAIA baseball umpire (the only female umpire working regular season D1 & D2)
6th woman to work the Little League World Series since its inception in 1939
2020 OHSAA Baseball Umpire of the Year
Only 1 of 2 women in the U.S. (the other being current MiLB umpire Jen Pawol) to have worked both college baseball and college softball
ELITE Umpires Camp instructor (Wendelstedt-affiliated baseball umpires camp, headed by Ron Whiting, Morgantown, WV)
OHSAA baseball umpire course instructor
Volunteer for Little League for 13 years: 6 years as a baseball coach, 10 years as an umpire.
