Making a Black Locust Recurve Bow in Silence
Crafting a selfbow with hand tools.
I used black locust wood to make this bow. Tips overlays are made from purple heart, handle wrap from natural leather. I love building bows in this style. I was aiming for higher draw weight but due to tillering issues the bow ended up being 28lbs at 28". The bow is 68" tip to tip. Sweet shooter! This wood is absolutely beautiful!
