I would like to share with you the result of my latest watching comet C/2017 K2 (PANSTARRS). 78 minutes compressed to few seconds of a visitor from the Opik-Oort Cloud, that is, from the farthest reaches of the Solar System. At the time of recording, the comet was approximately 290 million km from Earth - it was crossing the Asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter against the backdrop of the constellation Ophiuchus. According to recent measurements, the cometary nucleus has a diameter of 18 km. The comet will be closest to the Sun in December 2022.
