This is pretty straight forward, you just need to make sure that you follow the directions. If you're installing an aftermarket 3rd brake light like this, https://amzn.to/3Sok8xl, you will still generally follow the same process. However, the following directions are specific only to the 3rd gen 2018 Toyota Tacoma Off Road. If you are using this guide for a different vehicle, be sure to find the correct wiring diagram for your brake lights.

Basic need to know:
On a Toyota Tacoma the blue wire is positive (power)
Green is negative (ground)
If you are not tapping the green grounding wire, be sure to ground your cap or extra brakes wire to a bolt that contacts the trucks body.
