Chroma Console: Short Sustaining Loops w/ Capture
Using Chroma Console's CAPTURE feature to create short sustaining loops then running them through Chroma Console's effects to create a wild atmospheric tone 🪐
The CAPTURE feature can be used to record and playback longer loops up to 30s, but when recording very short loops (like in this video) the audio playback will have soft fading edges that overlap, creating a seamless ambient pad in a short moment. The looped material can either be recorded pre-fx or post-fx, and it's also really fun to improvise over!
The chain starts with a cleanish tone using Howl and Cassette. Then, using dual bypass, we engaged Tremolo and Collage to add extra movement and excitement as both the sustained-loops and live playing go through the entire effects chain.
