A D-Form Patta is a legal document that certifies a person's ownership of a plot of land. It's also known as a Land Revenue Record or the Record of Rights (RoR).
The government issues D-Form Pattas to poor people on government or assigned lands. The land is subject to 21 conditions mentioned in the D-Form patta.
To get a D-Form Patta, citizens can apply through the Meeseva centers. The D-Form Patta will be dispatched either through courier to the citizen's address, or the citizen can collect it from the franchisee where they applied for the certificate.
The Andhra Pradesh Assigned Lands (Prohibition of Transfer) Act, 1977 states that the government can assign land to landless poor people for cultivation or as a house site. The land can also be assigned to ex-servicemen and victims of natural calamities.
Assignments
House sites: The government can assign wasteland for house sites to landless poor people. Ex-servicemen and victims of natural calamities can also receive house sites. Assignees cannot sell assigned house sites to others.
Cultivation: The government can assign land for cultivation to landless poor people.
Transfers The government-assigned land cannot be transferred. Assignees have no right or title in the assigned land.
