Explaining Every Logical and Illogical Pokemon Type Matchup.
In Pokemon, there are many type matchups-ways that distinct types interact with each other. Some of these are logical like water does 2x damage (being super effective) against fire. Others, however, seem to have no logical basis, such as rock doing 1/2 damage (being not very effective) against the ground. In the video, The reason for these illogical type matchups is to balance out the power of each of the types. This video goes over every logical Pokemon-type matchup and explains their reasoning. It then goes over every illogical type matchup and explains them through the lens of balancing.
