Chest circumference: 19.5"/50 cm
Gauge swatch: 18 stitches x 30 rows in texture pattern on the U.S. 8 (5 mm) needles = 4x4 inches/10x10 cm
Suggested needles: U.S. 8 (5 mm) circular needles
Suggested yarn: Aran weight yarn 200 g. Wool-Ease Lion Brand was used.
Materials needed: scissors; stitch markers; tapestry needle; measurement tape
Special abbreviations and techniques:
k – knit;
p – purl
k2tog – knit two stitches together;
m1R (make one knitwise right) – pick up the strand between the previous and next stitch from front to back, knit through the back loop (1 stitch increased)
m1L (make one knitwise left) – pick up the strand between the previous and next stitch from back to front, knit through the front loop (1 stitch increased)
The special way to knit the last stitch in each purl round is as follows: slip the last stitch to the right needle, pick up the bar between the last stitch you slipped and the first stitch of the next round, and bring the needle from the back to the front. Back the last stitch on the left needle and knit together this bar and the last stitch as to purl (see video).
