Hot Springs, North Carolina Volunteering
I spent a morning volunteering in Hot Springs, a charming town right on the Appalachian Trail. The guy who had taken charge, Nick, was all the way from Maryland and had returned to a town he loved just to help them in their time of need (he was camping out in the cold so he could stay for weeks). Also in this video you can see one of the hundreds of line trucks I saw, work trucks, a huge farmer convoy (Farmers Helping Farmers) that was probably 100 trucks long.
