Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 | F4U Corsair over Bougainville Island
Hi all!
Join me on this wonderful flight over Bougainville Island in the South Pacific. This island was home to many Corsair squadrons in WWII, most of which played a critical role in the Battle of the Solomons during 1943 and 1944. One of these squadrons was VF-17, the famous ''skull and crossbones'' squadron. Their insignia is still used in the US Navy as of today!
I was happy to get a taste of what the flying back then was like in MSFS 2020. This really is my favorite part of the Corsair's history. To capture that feeling I made this video. I hope you enjoy it!
