This is the first in a series of educational videos to help you to understand Bitcoin technology and its application. This video only focusses on the structure of the blockchain and how blocks are cryptographically linked or chained together. It should give you some insight into why the blockchain is not the revolutionary breakthrough that some people think it is.
This video does not cover how blocks are mined, validated by the network and added to the blockchain. This will be covered in Bitcoin Basics Part 2.
