The gameplay of this level is my OVERTURE Round 2 gameplay tournament entry. The entire layout is available on my account, actually, so if you want to play the level's layout, you can do so right there.
This level was made semi-serious with 24k objects. Nothing too crazy because I don't want to overload my brain like I did with Rozz Will Follow. This was also made with the purpose of proving to people that I don't heavily rely on shaders or particles for deco. I did not use a single particle for this level and only a few shaders were used differently than Rozz Will Follow. I'm proving that I'm not carried by shaders. But I don't really care either way because my main focus is gameplay. If you care so much about deco and not the gameplay, this game is not for you. You can just make animations or art drawings instead.
The gameplay goes around a "dual + heavy gravity" gimmick throughout the entire level for the tournament, but since I thought was quite worthy of being decorated, I thought I'd use the gameplay for that. It's quite fun and after much playtesting, the level becomes even more fun. Thanks, playtesters!
Here's a breakdown of why this took so long to make even though it may not seem like it:
1) Made on mobile
2) Custom designs are tedious af
3) Precision in joining the shapes together
4) Brainstorming design, coherence, colours and effects
5) Optimization
6) Playtesting
7) Gameplay complexity, sync precision, scrapping and making new gameplay
8) Executing block designs
And that explains the length it took for me to make it.
