Early summer scouting for whitetails; what can we learn from it?
The summer months of June and July are reserved for fishing and camping for many, but there are still some lessons we can learn by being in the whitetail woods this time of year.
It’s a good time to get out and see if there are any potential changes you should be aware of on properties you hunt. It’s also a time to try to locate potential bedding in habitat conditions you might similarly see during the early portion of an archery season. Food, water and habitat conditions can certainly change from June to September that might shift where deer are hanging out, but that’s not always the case.
