Tell me your story!
Hey guys! So this is not an update, this is me asking for help with a scene i included in a series i'm currently editing :) (i haven't wroten any script thou... and I haven't cut in this preciously clip either, it's the way it looks in Spring Breakers... haha) Anyway!
I have decided to write a novel (in Swedish of course) but the name is "Mia decides to die". Trust me, the title is better in Swedish! If you have read "Thirteen reasons why" then this book won't sound so different. I will write about the reasons why I tried to commit suicide and why my very close friend tried to, and I also want to include your stories if they match my book idea.
To state an example:
My reasons why I tried to kill myself a couple of months back where because my parents where pressuring me about school and what I wanted to do later in life. They never asked what I wanted to do; they simply said "This is what you're going to do." And that's not easy to hear when you have no clue what to do. And then in school my "friends" never listened or cared when I was sad or when I had some really fun news about myself, like getting my very own film mentor (is that the right word?) they just said "okay" and continued with whatever they were doing. And then like all this tiny stuff happened and I just couldn't take it anymore. I hated my life where I was and I didn't really see a bright future either, so I decided that I wanted to die. Obviously, I didn't succeed.
With that said, not all suicide stories is about being bullied. It can be other stuff too!
So now I want to hear your story, but better explained than what I just wrote haha. You don't have to tell me if you don't want to, but I think it would be really good if I could use real stories if this book would get published or something one day.
It will be about Mia, a 17 year old girl who has one year left in gymnasium (like junior year in high school). And she constantly pounders on the "What if?" question, "What if Mia didn't change school her first year in High School?" "What if Mia didn't decide to stop talking to that friend?" "What if she wouldn't be so damn sensitive all the time!?" and so on... She will have her mom and her dad, an older sister and an older brother (the pressure to be as good as them) some friends that she doesn't feel close to at all, and one best friend who doesn't always have time with her because she's dealing with her own problems.
