NEW Emirates 521 Crash ATC Communications (with subtitles)
These are the Air Traffic Control Communications in Dubai Airport Tower before and during the Emirates 521 airplane fire accident on 8/13/16. Some empty and unintelligible parts in the raw audio may have been deleted for the sake of time.
At about 12:40 local time, Emirates Airlines Flight 521, registration A6-EMW Boeing 777-300, was on final approach with 300 passengers and crew when it attempted to go around at a low altitude. The plane did not climb and was forced to make a landing with no gear, touching down near the end of the runway. The aircraft burst into flames and burned down completely. 13 people were injured and 1 firefighter was killed in the accident.
