On New Thought: A Beginning (Joe DiSpenza/Professor Dave)
Welcome to a new podcast/series on the NearZone channel, this is On New Thought where I will explore ideas from New Thought/New Age teachers in a philosophical manner. This episode provides a good beginning point to the research I'm hoping to do. I go over the book Becoming Supernatural by Joe DiSpenza and look at the arguments he puts forth, specifically his use of science to back up his unfounded spiritual claims. I also react to the video "Quantum Mysticism Is Stupid" by Professor Dave Explains because he takes entirely the wrong tack in criticizing people like DiSpenza and it is an approach that I hope to avoid. This video will be a good primer for the way I'm going to investigate topics in the future.
