GUD24ESSJ0WW Diagnostic Field Service Mode(FSM) - Read Description
The instruction sheet included with the washer says to use Position 6 to get into Field Service Mode, but this is incorrect. You need to use Position 7 to enter FSM, then when you turn the dial to Pos 6, the lights will start flashing as indicated on the sheet. See details below
Correct sequence to enter Field Service Mode(FSM). This only works for Models GUD24ESSJ0WW & GUD24GSSJ0WW. The datasheet included with the washer gives incorrect information on how to enable Diagnostic Field Service Mode. It appears this single stacked model is the only unit with a different procedure.
Service mode entry on the mini manual publication 31-16868 is incorrect. Instead of reading: "Rotate the cycle selector knob to position (6) to enter service mode", it should read: "Rotate the cycle selector knob to position position (7).” Also where it directs to "Press the START button and FS button" is incorrect. It should direct to "Press the START button and DEEP RINSE button" at the same time.
TO ENTER TO SERVICE MODE, ROTATE CYCLE SELECTOR TO ANY POSITION EXCEPT POSITION 7. PRESS START BUTTON AND (DEEP RINSE) BUTTON AT SAME TIME, WAIT 3 SECONDS, THEN ROTATE CYCLE SELECTOR TO POSITION 7, WAIT 3 SECONDS AND RELEASE BOTH BUTTONS AND ALL LED's WILL BLINK. ROTATE KNOB CLOCKWISE TO VARIOUS POSITIONS PER SERVICE FUNCTION TABLE TO PERFORM FUNCTIONAL CHECKS.
