Kobe Bryant scored 34 points (12-19 FG) with 8 assists as the Lakers marched into San Antonio and marched out with a win. Kobe overcame early foul trouble to rip the Spurs apart on the offensive end. Whether it was easy tomahawk slams, alley oops, or tough fall away jumpers...Kobe was knocking them down. Even when the Spurs made a furious rally late in the 4th quarter, Kobe knocked down tough shot after tough shot. He was a crowd silencer late in the game...it actually sends chills down my spine.
Punishing San Antonio is back. While I love the Spurs (my favorite team), I am always excited to see Kobe come into town and light us up. I'm sure New Yorkers felt the same way about Michael Jordan during his trips to MSG. Kobe rarely fails to put on a show against his Western Conference foe.
