Composer Tips For Mixing Strings
Composers: Knowing how to use an EQ can sometimes be more valuable than the EQ itself. In this example, I use the stock EQ plugin built into Cubase to mix my strings for a composition. It's an affordable and straightforward plugin, and it gets the job done well. When you understand what you're listening for and why you're making the EQ adjustment, it can be much more valuable than using a plugin that costs hundreds of dollars, but you don't know how to use it, or more importantly, why you're using it.
