summer seed die back is a real thing
Even a newly seeded lawn hat looks amazing can suddenly die off , seemingly without any reason, but here is a little insight.. It still needs months to get well established in the roots... plus if you factor in poor soil quality, then it can become a real issue and the seeds can actually die off in summer..
