00:08:00 - Starting with the Germany NS1 then became the NS2
00:09:10 - 1940s - the British came up with the design of the T1333 from the NS series. These sets came with Box Kites to fly the 500kHz antenna.
00:12:00 - The US based their lifeboat radios (SCR-578) on the T1333 and came up with the US version.
00:13:54 - We went through the circuit diagram of the SCR-578 - not crystal locked in these units. It had an output of 3-4 watts at 500kHz.

00:21:00 - The top instructions and crank handle operation and installation. There are two lamps that indicate the correct speed of the cranking and the optimum tuning.
